According to the latest news from The Oxford Mail (9.30am 18th November 2010) it looks likely there will be a Bun Throwing in Abingdon to celebrate the upcoming Royal Wedding in 2011.
Followed by another event to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012!
Great news.

Next Bun Throwing in Abingdon? And a shop called Throwing Buns!
I had a text from my brother (who still lives in Abingdon) to say he'd seen the Mayor of Abingdon being photographed with a Bun yesterday - perhaps this means a Bun Throwing is on it's way!
Perhaps it'll be for the next Royal Wedding!
Doing a little bit of quick research I noticed on the fantastic Blog 'This Abingdon' there was a suggestion that the next Bun Throwing event will be in 2012 to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. There is also a post over on the blog about a new shop in Abingdon that is called Throwing Buns! What a great name and idea.
Check out the Throwing Buns Coffee Shop and Cafe website.
